Driver Independence
Drivers on HopNTravel set their own rates for rides. They are not restricted by mileage-based pay and can decide how much to charge for each trip.
Platform Fee
HopNTravel charges a flat 25% fee from each ride that drivers complete using the app. This fee is deducted from the total fare paid by the traveler.
Driver Tips
Tips given by travelers to drivers are not handled by HopNTravel. They are directly sent to the driver's preferred method (cash app, in-person, etc.). HopNTravel does not take any portion of these tips.
Background Checks
All drivers undergo a background check as part of their profile completion process. The background check is conducted through Checkr, and the link for this process is sent to the driver's email.
Traveler Experience
You have the flexibility to discuss and negotiate pricing, travel details, and arrangements directly with the drivers via chat. Payments are typically made after the ride is completed, and travelers receive an email confirmation once the ride details and charges are agreed upon.
Safety and Transparency
For safety, travelers can view important details about the driver, including their photo, vehicle, and license number, before confirming a ride. This ensures transparency and helps build trust between drivers and travelers.
